NFU qualifiy for SL final

SHILLONG: NFU defeated Spartan CC by virtue of their first innings lead in the first semi final match of the Shillong League Super Division organised by the Shillong Cricket Association at Polo Grounds Shillong.  Resuming at the score of 203/2 on day 2, N.F.U failed to add much and were all for 289. Asif Khan scored a brilliant 41 runs off 53 balls and Ricky played a patient knock and scored 13 runs of 55 balls. Arbind singh bowled brilliantly and took 6 wkts for his team and Lakhan also added some sparks and took 3 wkts. In reply,Sputnik Spartan CC till the end of last day’s play scored 209/10 in 64.1 overs.Uttam Chanda scored 65 runs off 121 balls and Sanvish Charak scorecd 30 runs off 36 balls. Raj Biswa took 4 wkts and Akash Choudhary took 3 wkts. However the match was drawn but by virtue of their 1st inning’s lead NFU qualified for the final of Super League 2019. On Tuesday second semi final will be played between Riatsamthiah SCC and Sputnik CC.
