IMFL seized
The Excise staff of East Khasi Hills seized 74.600 litres of i/d liquor and 1.500 litres of IMFL in February. In this connection, seven persons were arrested under the Excise Act.
Office bearers
The general meeting of the Raid Laban Sports, Social and Cultural Organisation was held at its office in Kench’s Trace recently. During the meeting, the organisation has been reconstituted with the election of new office bearers and executive members for the tenure of three years. The new team of office bearers are president is Sanbor Shullai, vice president is Hardeep Ryntathiang, Ricky Shullai as general secretary, assistant general secretary is Evangelyne Rabon, B Laitmon as chief advisor (Adv) and treasurer is Venessa Rabon among others.
The All Garo Hills Nengminja Mahari Association has elected new office bearers. The association elected Caxtone P Marak as president, Pillarson A Sangma as vice president, Walseng N Sangma as general secretary, Tengman N Sangma as joint secretary, John Masefield N Sangma as accountant -cum -treasurer, Karnesh N Sangma as advisor besides others.
Committee formed
A technical committee of Meghalaya Taekwondo Association was formed at SSCC library Hall, Bishnupur on March 24. The new members are Eugene K. Marak as chairman, Samarjyoti Borgohain-member secretary, Saubhagya Pradhan and Jadumoni Singh as members, Manoj Singh and Akbar as advisors.
