SHILLONG: Mawprem legislator Manas Chaudhuri on Friday distributed chairs, computers, photo-copier machines, an ambulance and a utility vehicle etc., among several socio-cultural and educational organisations of the 21-Mawprem constituency.
An ultrasound machine was given to Jeevan Ram Goenka Hospital, Jhalupara.
Representatives of various organisations accepted the items from the legislator at a function held at Rilbong Sports and Cultural Club premises. All these items were given from the MLA’s Local Area Development Fund.
During the programme, a few citizens from the constituency highlighted certain problems faced by the public in their respective localities.
The legislator on his part promised to look into the grievances of the people and take steps to solve problems pertaining to road, drainage system, drinking water etc.
He also announced that he would launch a few new developmental schemes shortly.
