Voter awareness held at ICAR

SHILLONG: The ICAR Research Complex for NEH region organised a voter awareness programme on Monday following directives from the Election Commission.
The programme for ICAR employees focused on the rights and duty as voters.
The programme was attended by scientists, technical and administrative staff of the institute. Chief Administrative Officer Krishna Kant Kulshreshtha laid emphasis on the importance of casting.
“ICAR is extremely privileged in spreading and sensitising the people about the celebration of world’s greatest and largest democracy,” he said.
Two brief presentations were conducted by Dr AK Jha, head of the division of horticulture, and Dr SK Das, head of the division of fisheries.
The programme concluded with the message “every vote counts to make a difference”.
