SHILLONG: At least 75 schemes from the state are yet to get the approval of the Election Commission of India.
The Election Commission’s nod was sought for release of the schemes earmarked for the new financial year after the budget for 2019-20 was passed since the model code of conduct was enforced from March 17.
An official source said the Election Commission has given the go ahead to several schemes recently.
The official added that the state will have to wait till April 11 for the release of the remaining schemes.
