TURA: The A’chik Youth Welfare Organisation (AYWO) in Tura has said the BJP’s move include the citizenship bill in its poll manifesto may trigger “serious law and order problem” in the North East.
The organisation said if the BJP enacts the bill, there will be demographic imbalance. “The manifesto is nothing but the expression of the ‘dictatorial mindset’ of the BJP. The CAB 2016 is communal in nature and the content of the bill is divisive that can possibly trigger serious law and order problem in the whole of North East. Despite massive protest against the bill, BJP under the leadership of Amit Shah wishes to go against the sentiments and genuine concern of indigenous tribals of NE,” the AYWO said.
