SHILLONG: The All India Radio (AIR),Shillong held a musical soiree to pay homage to the doyen of music Dr. Bhupen Hazarika here in the city on Saturday.
The event allowed the audience to re-invent the taste of songs penned, composed and sung by Dr. Bhupen Hazarika.Speaking on the occasion, Governor RS Mooshahary recalled Dr. Bhupen Hazarika as a musician of the soil, each of his composition had a message towards humanity and brotherhood.Terming him an extra ordinary musician of our time, the Governor said, “Quite apart from the run of the mill musical compositions.”
