HYC to hold rally from Maweit to Nongstoin

SHILLONG: The Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) Maweit circle will hold a rally from Maweit to Nongstoin on April 27 to protest against the government’s inaction on repairing the Nongstoin-Maweit road.
In a statement issued here, HYC president, Maweit circle, Jeremiia Dkhar said that the rally will begin from Maweit market.
The organisation will also meet deputy chief minister who is also the PWD (Roads) minister, Prestone Tynsong and will remind him of his assurance to bring a two-lane project and to blacktop the road from Nongstoin to Maweit.
