Orlando Bloom fronts education campaign in Africa

London: Actor Orlando Bloom is fronting a campaign to improve education for poor children in Madagascar.

The 35-year-old UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador has partnered with actress Sienna Miller for the BOSS Orange Education Campaign For UNICEF. Every purchase of the company’s limited edition fragrance Today. To Help. Together will fund a day of school for 50 disadvantaged children, Daily Express reported.

“I feel very privileged to be working with BOSS Orange and UNICEF on this partnership. Witnessing first-hand the difference it makes to the lives of children in Africa is truly humbling,” he said.

Bloom’s wife Miranda Kerr has also shown her charitable side by signing up as a global ambassador for Earth Hour 2012, which encourages the public to switch off their lights for 60 minutes on March 31 to conserve energy and encourage sustainability. (PTI)
