Three arrested for death of guest house staff

SHILLONG: Police have arrested three persons in connection with the death of Samu Barua, whose body was recovered from under the lift at the Central Excise/ Customs Guest House where he worked.
Police have identified the arrested as Wanpyrkhat Chyne (29), Mahesh Biswa (39) and Arstyarklang Kharjana (29).
The 45-year-old temporary employee of Central Excise/ Customs Guest House was reported missing since April 7 and his body was recovered on April 13.
The body was first spotted by the sweeper, who was called after the security guard complained of foul odour emanating out of the lift. The body was detected after the lift was moved up and the ground checked.
