Students actively take part in blood donation camp in Tura

TURA: An awareness programme on blood donation was organised at Don Bosco College of Tura on Wednesday in which students actively took part by donating their blood for the Noble cause.
The donation camp was coordinated by the IQAQ of the college and National Service Scheme ( NSS) members actively came forward to donate blood which was supervised by doctors and medical staff of the blood bank of Tura Civil Hospital.
Earlier, Principal of the college, Fr. Bivan Mukhim apprised the gathering about the importance of donating blood which can lead to saving of countless lives.
He said that since blood is precious and rare it is very hard to get which is why donating one’s blood is a very important role for the youth.
Doctors also highlighted the medical fact that by giving blood a person is able to generate fresh blood in his body.
