SHILLONG: The first of its kind in the country “North East Graduate Congress 2012”, an initiative of Education, Research and Development (ERD) Foundation, would be held from May 29-30.
ERD Foundation is the largest institutional network of higher and technical Education in North East Region.
The event will be organized by University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya (USTM) in association with CSIR-North East Institute of Science Technology (NEIST), Jorhat (under Ministry of Science Technology, Government of India).
The Graduate Congress will be held at the campus of Regional Institute of Science and Technology, 9th Mile.
The 2-day programme is aimed at bringing out the inherent capabilities of the fresh graduates and giving them exposure to various opportunities awaiting them.
The sessions will focus on higher and professional education and research, entrepreneurship, vocational training, microfinance and business loans, small scale industry and government schemes, capacity building in priority areas, personality and soft skill development, competitive examinations, etc.
