Four stone quarries get clearance

SHILLONG: As many as four stone quarries have been granted environmental clearance by the Deputy Commissioner-cum-chairman of the District Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority, East Khasi Hills.
The proprietor of Tamdor Sing Nadon Limestone mining said that the Kumtimai Tlangdara R-Kalliang and Smit Nandini Syiemlieh limestone mines have been granted clearance.
He, however, added that the projects are to strictly comply with specific terms and conditions.
It was also informed that the Tamdor Sing Nadon Shyngoh Elaka Wahlang Sirdarship and Tyngwai Bah Elaka Sohbar Sirsarship got clearance on mining projects.
