Assam BJP chief attributes poll success to efforts of party workers

GUWAHATI: With the party set to win at least nine Lok Sabha seats in Assam as per the latest trend in votes counting, the president of Assam state BJP unit, Ranjeet Dass has expressed gratitude to the people of Assam for extending an unprecedented mandate to the party.

The state BJP president also hailed the leadership of Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal and NEDA convenor and key BJP strategist Dr Himanta Bishwa Sarma for the starling performance of the party in this election.

The state BJP president while attributing the success of the party to all the hardworking party workers from the booth level to the state level, stated that the party workers will now have to work with added responsibility to highlight the transparent governance of the BJP government at the State and the Centre before the people of the country.

It may be mentioned that the BJP had won seven seats in 2014 Lok Sabha polls in Assam and the tally is sure to go up at least to nine this time.
