TURA: The West Garo Hills Superintendent of Police, through a release informs that the Anti-Narcotic task Force for the District of West Garo hills have been constituted with a view to check and control the abuse and menace of the substance in the district.
The primary objective of the ANTF would be to look into the matters relating to manufacturing, possession, purchase, transportation, inter-state movement of narcotics, drugs, psychotropic substance & controlled substances and to take necessary legal and preventive actions accordingly.
Informing that the task force can be contacted 24×7 for sharing any information relating to the matter, the release said that a complete secrecy will be maintained regarding the identity of the informants and will be suitably rewarded too for sharing the correct information.
