Ex-servicemen rally held

SHILLONG: An ex-servicemen (ESM) rally was organised by Headquarters 101 Area in collaboration with Rajya Sainik Board, Meghalaya at the Assam Regimental Centre in Happy Valley on Saturday.
More than 800 veterans including widows and children attended the event.
The rally was graced with the presence of Meghalaya Governor Tathagata Roy, Major General PK Saini, Officiating General Officer Commanding, Headquarters 101 Area along with civil and military dignitaries.
The rally was organised specially for ex-servicemen, war veterans, disabled soldiers and war widows (Veer Naris) to show that they remain inseparable members of the Armed Forces fraternity and focused on the theme ‘year of next of kin’.
