SHILLONG: The East Garo Hills administration suspects that Brutush Momin (the bodyguard of GNLA commander-in-chief Sohan D Shira), who suffered serious bullet injuries during heavy exchange of fire with the police on Sunday morning, must have died.

A senior police official on Monday informed that Brutush received bullet injuries in abdomen after SWAT commandos backed by CRPF’s CoBRA units launched an operation in the jungle of Bawegre village, about 10 km from Williamnagar after intelligence reports suggest about the movement of the militants in the area.

“We suspect that Sohan’s bodyguard have died due to the bullet injuries,” the senior police said.
