Tree plantation
The Institution of Engineers, Shillong in collaboration with the Department of Forest, will organise a tree plantation programme at Engineer’s Hill, Lyngkhoi village, East Khasi Hills at 10 am, on June 5.
Eid-Ul-Fitre
The Mohammadia-Al -Hussainee Mosque Committee, Nongsohphoh, Barapathar point, has informed that the Eid-Ul-Fitre congregation prayer will be held (subject to sighting of the moon) in Mohammadia-Al -Hussainee Masjid at 8.30 am, on June 5 and the prayer will be led by Janab Qaiser
Raza, Imam of the Masjid.
Bicycle rally
Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, an initiative, Shillong will organise a bicycle rally in the city on the occasion of the World Environment Day to create awareness about the perils of air pollution. The rally will be flagged off by journalist KK Jhunjhunwala from the parking lot of additional secretariat (Myntdu Building) at 7 am on June 5.
