‘Film making in State has gone from average to good’

 SHILLONG: For the past few years now, the standard of film making in the state has gone from average to good which was witnessed at the screening of documentaries filmed by the students of St Anthony’s College here on Tuesday.

Six unique creations from the budding student filmmakers of this Department were screened at the college here on Tuesday, a tradition carried out for years showcasing the innovative minds of the students.

The Mass Media department of St Anthony’s College has for the past 15 years now been producing similar documentaries on issues relating to the state and its people and experts in this field have s claimed that the procedure of directing short films has gone from average to good.

“It is indeed enlightening to notice that the students have excel in this field and I hope that they will make good use of their talents in the future while encouraging more and more youth to get a glimpse of this world”, Mass Media Head of Department, Cherry Kharshiing said.
