Youth killed in WGH accident

TURA: One person was killed in a hit and run in the plains belt Bhaitbari region of West Garo Hills district on Wednesday.
Two motorcycles travelling in the same direction and in close proximity collided at Old Bhaitbari junction throwing both the riders and their occupants onto the road.
As the accident occurred, a speeding car passing by ran over one of the motorcycle victims and his companion before fleeing from the scene of the incident.
The hit and run case led to the death of 24-year-old Rajiul Sheikh of Nayagaon village near Bhaitbari. His nephew, Nabirul Islam, who was pillion riding with him managed to escape with minor injuries.
A case has been registered and police are on the lookout for the suspect vehicle that got away after committing the crime.
