KSU asks institutes to shut down

 SHILLONG: Two Educational institutes in the city were asked by the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) NEHU Unit and Mawlai Circle to call off their classes since the day marked the “Shad Suk Mynsiem”.

Two institutes Computer Centre and Nehru Yuva Kendra Vidyalaya School in NEHU campus were open despite the day being celebrated as “Shad Suk Mynsiem” and it was a state holiday.

 ”We immediately asked the two institutes to call-off their classes”, KSU-NEHU Unit general secretary Samuel Kharshandi told reporters here.

After the intervention of the KSU, head of both the institutes suspended their classes for the day.
