Two workers abducted in WGH, 1 escapes

TURA: Two persons working as labourers near Jengjal in West Garo Hills were reportedly abducted by unidentified miscreants on June 16 even as one of them managed to return safely on June 18.
According to a delayed report, Jaidur Rahman (23) from Katlamari and Shahadud Ali (30) from Chairajhar, both under Lakhipur police station in Goalpara district of Assam, were taken away by two unidentified miscreants on June 16 from the construction site of the BSF camp near Jengjal. The two workers were taken away by two unarmed persons. A motorbike belonging to one of the victims was also taken away at the time.
Interestingly, one of the victims, Jaidur Rahman, managed to return back safely on June 18 while the second victim continues to be untraceable.
Meanwhile, police sources informed that an extensive search and rescue operation is under way and efforts are on to rescue the missing worker and nab the culprits. An FIR in this regard was filed on June 21.
