Manager clarifies food poisoning allegation

TURA: The manager of Rikman Continental Hotel, J C Sangma through a communiqué clarified that the recent report of two of its customers falling ill after consuming food at its restaurant could not be accurate.

The couple, I N Marak and N N Marak who alleged of food poisoning after eating noodles at our restaurant had checked into one of our rooms and had bought eatables from outside stated Sangma and added that they had also ordered noodles at around 12:30 pm. The communiqué stated that the couple consumed the eatables bought from outside the hotel along with the noodles.

The manager said that their falling ill could be because of the eatables they bought from outside and not because of the noodles.

Sangma maintained that the particular day being Assamese New Year the restaurant was packed and that even though the other customers consumed the same noodles nobody fell ill. Moreover eatables brought from outside the hotel is strictly prohibited Sangma added.
