SHILLONG: The Meghalaya College Teachers Association (MCTA) on Monday continued its agitation by holding a statewide signature campaign in support of Assistant Professor Jeffreyson Wahlang’s immediate and unconditional reinstatement in the services of St Edmund’s College.
Different units of the MCTA throughout the state wore black badges to support the demand for reinstatement of Assistant Professor Jeffreyson Wahlang.
Earlier, the MCTA had asserted that it would continue its agitation as the demand pertaining to the reinstatement of the St Edmund’s assistant professor was yet to be met.
It may be mentioned that the MCTA has also filed an FIR against Brother Simon Coelho, Secretary of the Governing Council, Principal of St Edmund’s College, Sylvanus Lamare, and Bursar of the College Brother Julias Stelgus accusing them of misappropriating government allotted funds.
