Shillong: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) at Shillong organised an inaugural function of the 2012 session of the student exchange programme to welcome the 18-member students & faculty team from Hamburg Media School (HMS), Germany.

The 18-member team will be attending classes on Indian media studies over the week before moving to Mumbai and Kolkata for interacting with a number of renowned media houses.

Nils Grannemann, Faculty and team Leader from HMS during his interaction with media representatives remarked, “We are very excited about this visit as much as the students. Past experience of collaborating with IIM Shillong makes us believe that there is much intellectual input that can be garnered over the period of stay.”

Program Director Prof S Kakoty opined, “The curriculum is designed in such a way that it gives an elucidated explanation of the Indian media in a very short duration of just two week.”
