Mortal remains of JCO laid to rest

SHILLONG: The mortal remains of Henkhomang Gangte, the Junior Commissioned officer (JCO) of 4 Assam Regiment who died due to the collapse of a building at Solan in Himachal Pradesh, was laid to rest the ARC cemetery here in Shillong on Wednesday.

The last remain of Sub (Late) Henkhomang Gangte was laid to rest at the ARC cemetery, Shillong with full honour where eight-gun salute was given to the departed soul.

Henkhomang Gangte is one among the 13 JCOs who lost their lives in Solan building collapse in Himachal Pradesh.

The funeral service took place on Wednesday at Happy Valley, Shillong.
