SHILLONG: The Ri-Bhoi Students’ Union (RBSU) on Wednesday has urged local tribal owners to render employment to youth from the tribal community.
Addressing a press conference, President of the union Everjoy Nongpluh said there are 43 petrol pumps in Ri Bhoi, out of which 25 are owned by Khasis and 18 by non-tribals. He alleged that the owners employ outsiders from states like Rajasthan, Kashmir and Assam.
