Anti-malaria workshop held

NONGSTOIN: The month of June has been observed as the “anti-malaria month” to take preventive measures across the West Khasi Hills district against the outbreak of malaria and other vector-borne diseases. Workshops are being conducted in various places in the district in this connection.

The district administration organized a workshop on Thursday at NSSS hall here. Delivering his keynote address Dr. WW Phira mentioned that among the communicable disease malaria is a chronic one which should be treated at the earliest. He called upon people to take the responsibility and participate in controlling the spread of malaria.

The workshop was attended by Tongper, Extra Assistance Commissioner, as the chief guest.
