IAF man dies after falling off cliff

SHILLONG: An Indian Air Force personnel died after falling off Laitlum cliff on Sunday.
Police said that Sergeant Shailesh K Pandey, EAC, Upper Shillong, met with the accident when he went to Laitlum with his friends for a picnic. The matter was reported to the police and the state fire and emergency rescue service along with local people retrieved the body on Monday.
Police said that attempts were made on Sunday to recover the body but foggy conditions hindered the operation.
