300 students take part in workshop

NONGPOH: A two-week-long workshop and programme of Avenues, Aspire Meghalaya, on soft skills, career readiness, coaching and talent identification for 300 students of Alpha English Hr.Sec School Nongpoh concluded on Friday at District Library and Auditorium Hall here. The programme was supported by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs through the Directorate of Arts & Culture, government of Meghalaya and Avenues.
The programme was attended by AL Hek, Minister in charge of Art and Culture, Health & IPR in the presence of Ri Bhoi DC RM Kurbah and Mark Stone Laitflang, Managing Director of Avenue, and others.
Speaking on the occasion, Hek lauded and appreciated Avenues for encouraging school children and the youths for their prosperous future livelihood. He said that Avenues creates a platform for all youths to enable
them to showcase their skill and talent in different forms and appreciated the participants of the programme while encouraging them to expose what they have learnt.
He also expressed his gratitude to school teachers for inculcating the values of life in young children saying they are the architects for future generation.
Certificates were given away to all the successful participants of the programme.
