Rangiya (Assam): Assam Minister for Border Development, Siddique Ahmed on Saturday visited Langpi located at the inter-state border with Meghalaya and asked citizens on both sides to maintain peace and harmony.

Langpi, in lower Assam’s Kamrup Rural district, has witnessed tension during the past few months over alleged encroachment by Meghalaya.

Residents of the area had resorted to a 500-hour road blockade in March. (PTI)
