NONGPOH: The Dorbar Shnong of Umsning Proper ‘A’ has nabbed two suppliers of illegal liquor and seized over 300 litres of local liquor in Umsning area on Monday.
The representatives and local youths of Umsning Proper ‘A’, on a tip off about the movement of illegal liquor suppliers in and around Umsning area, laid a trap in which local village body managed to nab two suppliers and also seized huge amount of local liquor loaded in two vehicles (ML05 T 4373 and ML05 T 1935).
The suppliers were identified as Staibor Jana and Poipyrkhat Kyntia hailing from Kynshi village, East Khasi hills, they were later handed to Umsning police outpost and later police handed over the case to Excise department Nongpoh.
