SHILLONG: The proposed committee of all political parties to examine the pros and cons of the ongoing enrolment of voters in the State is yet to be notified despite assurance by none other than Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma that the same would be notified by Wednesday.

“We would notify the committee by Wednesday,” the Chief Minister had stated following a meeting with representatives of all political parties on Tuesday.

In an official communiqué issued on Wednesday, the government merely repeated Dr Sangma’s statement, while mentioning the meeting of all political parties and the discussion they had on the matters relating to registration of voters in the electoral roll under the continuous revision process.
