Metbah’s assurance on irrigation project

SHILLONG: UDP associate member and MLA from Mawphlang SK Sunn asked Water Resources Minister Metbah Lyngdoh on why his request to have an irrigation project at Them Lyngkien was ignored.
Replying to the query during the question hour in the Assembly on Monday, Lyngdoh said he is aware of the Them Lyngkien project and informed that for 2019-2020 all proposals are yet to be approved and will consider those schemes which are okay in nature.
He added that the suggestion of Sunn will be examined thoroughly and will be included if it is okay.
Lyngdoh assured that Sunn’s suggestion will be considered when project is being prepared.
