SHILLONG: Congress MLA Jimmy Sangma took exception to the allotment of 2 rooms at the MLA hostel by saying that they are compelled to stay in rented accommodations.
During the question hour on Monday, he asked the Deputy Chief Minister in-charge of Parliamentary Affairs to consider a proposal for house rent for the opposition MLAs. Sangma said that he has to pay rent of Rs 35, 000 for 6 rooms while payment for water and electricity is separate.
Tynsong said the government will find ways and means to address the concerns.
