Musical evening
There will be a musical evening on Bhupen Hazarika’s songs at 4 pm at the Assam Club, Laban. Hazarika’s songs will be performed by his youngest brother Samar Hazarika, nephew Dawar Hazarika, niece Kuwali Hazarika, renowned singer Bidya Sagar and others.
Onam celebrations
Onam celebrations of Kalakairaly, Shillong will be held at the Sri Aurobindo Cultural Centre at 2 pm on Sunday. DM Thappa, director of NEIGRIHMS will be attending the event as the chief guest.
Gratitude
The Dorbar Shnong of Mawshbuit has expressed its gratitude to local MLA David Nongrum for raising the issue concerning the Army gate at 58 GTC during the recent Assembly session. The Dorbar also stated that the gate has served as a hindrance to the general public and has urged the concerned authorities to look into the matter at the earliest.
