Date extended
The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti had extended the last date for submission of online application for Class VI selection test upto September 30. The official communique issued in this regard by KK Mishra, Principal of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Williamnagar, stated that candidates registered in Phase I will have to submit their details through Phase II till October 3.
Lecture
Women’s College Shillong is organising the Eleventh Pundit Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar Annual Endowment Lecture on September 19 at 2pm. The guest speaker will be Prof. Nandini Sundar, Dept. of Sociology, Delhi School of Economics on the theme “The Scheduled Tribes and their Politics”.
Health camp
North East India Committee on Relief and Development (NEICORD) in collaboration with Bethany Hospital, Bansara Eye Care and District Medical & Health Office Ri-Bhoi conducted a health camp at Lower Norbong, Byrnihat Ri-bhoi with the sponsorship of Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI). The camp covers three villages which are located under the industrial area.
