NONGSTOIN: A person identified as Waiarless Pariong (55) of Mawjyrsim Mawthong, Mawkyrwat died after he was run over by a truck on Saturday afternoon.
On receiving the information, Nongstoin Police personnel rushed to Rambrai to conduct an inquiry and discovered that the truck (ML06 4083) had been driven by Silvestar Syiemlieh (34) of Kynshi.
The victim’s body was later handed over to the relatives after receiving an exemption order from the magistrate.
Eyewitnesses stated that the accident was due to the fault of the deceased.
All legal formalities concerning the matter have been observed.
