City e-sports team wins tourney

SHILLONG: Shillong e-sports team Apprentice Gaming won the ILG Cup CSGO minor which was held in Guwahati on September 28 and 29.
From the best of three map pool, they won two — Vertigo and Mirage — against Kraken Bijou in the finals.
Winning a minor qualifies the team to the regional qualifier and then to the grand finale where they will get to compete with the top e-sports teams in the country and to prove that they are the ultimate LAN warriors, a release said.
The team consists of Richie Kharkongor, Bansharailang Syngkon, Bryan M Laloo, Joshua Sangma, Joebin Kharmalki, Jared Sawian and Riknang Momin.
