SHILLONG: The Archdiocese of Shillong has declared a period of mourning to be observed in all the parishes, catholic schools, colleges, and institutions within its jurisdiction till the funeral of Archbishop Dominic Jala is complete.
This was issued by Diocesan Administrator Fr. John Madur. There will not be any official celebrations during the period.
However, schools, colleges and other institutions will function normally.
