Shillong: An awareness programme-cum-mock drill on disaster management was conducted at Sankardev College in Bishnupur on October 14 and 15.
The District Disaster Management Authority, Red Cross Society in collaboration with the college authorities conducted the training on disaster management along with a mock drill on earthquake response.
The resource persons were District Disaster Management Officer Pynbiang Lumba along with State Red Cross Secretary Diana Kharshiing and their respective teams.
It may be mentioned that P Deb Rajeev from Red Cross Society coordinated the entire exercise as an instructor and trainer.
The programme witnessed active participation from both students and staff of the college.
