Natl conference
A national conference on the relevance of Gandhian Philosophy of univeral uplift (Sarvodaya) in the contemporary world was organised by William Carey University. The conference was supported by NEC and ICSSR- NERC. Home Minister James Sangma attended the programme as the chief guest while the keynote address was delivered by Prasenjit Biswas, associate professor, NEHU.

Bongiya Sahitya Parishad , Shillong will celebrate the centenary of Rabindranath Tagore’s first visit to Shillong at 5pm on Sunday at the Parishad auditorium.
