SHILLONG: The Jaintia Students’ Union, Shillong Circle will organise a sports and literary awards distribution-cum-cultural and social meet on November 9.
The event aims to strengthen unity among Jaintia people residing in East Khasi Hills and to give an opportunity to the students residing in the state capital to showcase their talents and to award both students and sportspersons.
The event will consist of cultural and formal programme comprising Jaintia traditional dance, academic and sports awards presentation and a musical evening.
Students who have passed their SSLC and HSLC besides graduates and post graduates in different streams and disciplines who have scored above 80 per cent will be awarded including sportspersons who have represented the state and nation.
