Udaipur: Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Sunday said the ancient Tripureshwari Temple, which is a significant religious hub, can increase the tourism potential of the state and contribute to its economic development if the tourism infrastructure of the temple is improved.
“The previous government did not develop the tourism infrastructure of the temple even though pilgrims across the country and abroad come here,” the chief minister said addressing the crowd after inaugurating the annual Diwali Mela at the Tripureswari temple here on Sunday evening.
Deb said the Left front government had no intention to promote the state which is why the tourism industry in the state never progressed. (UNI)
