KSU Delhi gets first female president

SHILLONG: For the first time, the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) Delhi unit will be led by a female after Marbiang Khongwir was sworn in as the president of the unit on Saturday.
The election of new office bearers was held at 9-APJ Abdul Kalam Road, New Delhi. Khongwir is the first female president to lead a unit.
Speaking on the occasion, president of KSU, Lambokstar Marngar urged the students and individuals working in Delhi, to remember their Khasi identity.
He lauded the KSU Delhi unit for working hard and encouraging the members of the union to be steadfast even in the face of hurdles and challenges.
Besides Khongwir, there are other office bearers and 30 individuals who have become members of the union in Delhi.
