Vigilance awareness week in NEIGRIHMS

SHILLONG: A vigilance awareness week under the theme ‘Integrity- A way of life’, began in NEIGRIHMS on October 28 and will be observed till November 2.
A pledge taking ceremony was also held in the OPD foyer of the Hospital during the inaugural programme.
A poster display competition was held wherein the hospital staff and students were able to express their thoughts on the theme.
On October 29, a skit play competition centering on the theme was organised and witnessed the participation of three teams from the Nursing College, NEIGRIHMS.
Doctors, staff, patients and visitors also attended the play.
While speaking on the occasion, the director of NEIGRIHMS encouraged the employees and students of the institute to start an integrity culture in NEIGRIHMS, where everybody is conscious about the integrity of oneself and others as well. He said that the integrity is when the soul is pure to the extent that nobody can doubt the honesty and intentions of a person.
The Vigilance Officer of NEIGRIHMS, P Bhattacharya spoke about the structure of the Vigilance Cell in the Institute and announced that any act of corruption can be brought to his notice in a confidential note which can be handed in at the Vigilance Office, Director’s Office or the Medical Superintendent Office. AC Phukan, Dean, Faculty, and Medical Superintendent Noor Topno also spoke during the programme.
