JOWAI: The BJP, on Friday questioned the credibility of the ruling party in the JHADC in matters related to illegal appointment, nonpayment of salary and incompletion of various developmental projects including the Iawmusiang Super Market, Jaintia Dorbar Halls and the District Council Court.
During a press conference, BJP leader and former JHADC chairman Lakhon Biam informed that his party has demanded a report on the issues during the forthcoming Budget Session slated for November 28.
The present EC under the leadership of Thombor Shiwat as the CEM has failed to fulfill all requirements, Biam said.
“No salary for the last six months, no transparency in connection with illegal appointments as pointed out by the report of the inquiry team (Committee)”, he added.
The party also demanded the government to be serious in dealing with economy of the state.
