Imphal: Summer Rhythms of North East 2012 is being organized by Youth Initiative Foundation at Senapati, Manipur from June 5 – 9 with the focus to have a comprehensive understanding of friendship and brotherhood amongst the young generation of the region.
It is an inclusive attempt to tap young talented youths and to give a platform in all fields, and also to promote cultural diversity of the people of the region, with the highlight of the event being music, dance, talent show and fashion parade of young reputed artists of the region, stated a press note issued by K.Losii Calvin, general secretary, Youth Initiative Foundation, Senapati, Manipur.
The event will be graced by D.S.Poonia, chief secretary, government of Manipur as chief guest, major general Binoy Poonem, VSM 57th Mountain Division as guest of honour and will also be attended by deputy commissioners P.K.Jha and S.K.Sharma.
“The Summer Rhythms if North East with the slogan “Youth for peace” is an all-inclusive attempt not only to showcase the beautiful people of the North East but also to find out the rich culture of the region and tap young talented youths in all aspects and most importantly to hijack the charm, beauty and feminine heart “the lady” from among the bevy of delightful women, representing all the states of the region”, said the press note. The note further stated that the challenge will be to applaud beauty of the rare kind that lightens the mind, refreshes the eyes but most importantly one that defines the identity, culture, beauty and charm of the people in all its aspects, and expressed the belief that it is through a comprehensive understanding of this beauty that a sense of togetherness and sense of brotherhood will be created while showcasing the rich culture of the people that convey their history, enact their past glory and a hope for the future.
