SHILLONG: The billiards and snooker state championship, organised by the Meghalaya Billiard and Snooker Association, got under way at the Shillong Club Ltd on Friday. The opening ceremony was presided over by Deepak Laloo, association president, Rohit Arora, secretary, Ajay Gupta and NT Jatiani, directors of Shillong Club Ltd. The tournament is expected to finish on December 16.
