SHILLONG: Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) Adelbert Nongrum termed the NPP a traitor and said the NPP MP from Tura Agatha Sangma’s support to the CAB is pre-planned.
In a statement issued here, he said, “Whatever she has spoken in the house to support the CAB, it is a pre-plan decision with some of the like-minded legislators, otherwise she wouldn’t have taken the decision alone because this is not a lone decision without the conscience of the whole community or the party as a whole”.
He said that if the meeting of Chief Minister Conrad Sangma and his colleagues with Home Minister Amit Shah turns out to be in vain, Nongrum said, “I will let the MDA know what my next move will be”.
He added that the state government is involved in weakening the identity of indigenous people and put the small minority people at risk.
“But the NPP whom I have trusted has turned out to be the traitors compromising with the future of our indigenous people just to stabilise their position. Because of the financial crisis in the State they (NPP) are ready to compromise our race, just to wait for the central government to sanction in such a crisis”, he added.
